'The Pitt' Star Noah Wyle Gets Star Power Salute From Mark Ruffalo as the HBO Series Dominates Critics Choice Awards

With Jimmy Kimmel praising Donald Trump and Timothée Chalamet thanking Kylie Jenner, the Critics' Choice Awards 2026 truly shaped up to be more than a spoonful. This was especially true for Noah Wyle who earned more than the critics' approval curtsy of Mark Ruffalo.

While everyone was busy celebrating their own wins and thanking the long line of cast and crew that played a part in getting them on stage, Mark Ruffalo decided to salute the reason due to which he could not get on the stage.

After Noah Wyle won the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in The Pitt, which won the Best Drama Series award at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards, he had a heartwarming speech to conclude the night. But perhaps the best moment came to him later when he met Mark Ruffalo. The Task actor only had massive admiration for Noah Wyle's performance.

As the two shook hands, Mark Ruffalo admitted that he was happy about Noah Wyle's win and lauded his performance in the series. 

Not just Noah Wyle, the entire cast of The Pitt won big, with Katherine LaNasa also taking a win as the best supporting actress in the Drama series. LaNasa played the role of Dana Evans. With fifteen episodes helmed by  R. Scott Gemmill the series truly struck lightning in a bottle.

Now, after a successful first season of The Pitt and a trophy-filled awards run at the awards event, fans are eagerly waiting for Season 2.
