Patrick J. Adams once again shared the incredible story of how his wife, Troian Bellisario, ended up giving birth to their daughter in the front seat of their car. The Suits star first spoke about the experience on Katie Lowes’ podcast Katie's Crib in 2021, and has now retold the story during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, where he reflected on just how quickly the situation escalated.

According to Adams, the couple had been rushing toward the hospital when Bellisario suddenly realized the baby was arriving much sooner than expected. 

"She was born in the front seat of a BMW in the parking lot of the hospital... within 5 minutes we got into the parking lot and she was like, ‘this is happening,’ he recalled, explaining the moment. 

Patrick J. Adams said he simply followed the instructions given to help his wife, Troian Bellisario. He recalled how, within moments, their baby was suddenly in his hands. Soon after, hospital staff arrived and took over to make sure both mother and baby were safe. Thankfully, their daughter Elliot, was healthy despite the unexpected delivery. Patrick J. Adams later described the experience as both scary and amazing, something he and Troian Bellisario will never forget.

News at the premiere of recently released The Madison in New York on March 9, the actor confirmed that the couple’s third child, born earlier this year, is also a girl. The new baby joins their older daughters, Aurora and Elliot, making Adams officially a “girl dad” of three.

During the conversation, he explained that growing up with two sisters helped prepare him for the role. He told E! News that being surrounded by women throughout his life taught him important lessons about when to step in, how to support others, and when to simply listen.
