After facing a major hiccup last year, the French thriller is finally set to make its much-anticipated premiere.

So, before the nightmare begins on screen, here is everything to know about the cast, plot, and release date of the thriller show.

The Hunt, from creator and director Cédric Anger, follows Franck and his friends, who typically spend their weekends hunting. However, trouble begins when they cross paths with another group of hunters who turn aggressive and start firing at them. In retaliation, Franck and his friends end up shooting a member of the rival group.

Although they return to their homes as if nothing happened, it is not long before they begin to feel watched, chased, and hunted by the other hunters seeking revenge. Apart from its intense and thrilling premise, the show also features a compelling and unique talent for the series.

The cast of The Hunt

The massive hype surrounding the series is also because of the talent attached to the project. Now, the series is all set to arrive on screens for its long-awaited premiere after a brief halt due to a major plagiarism controversy.

The release date of The Hunt

Back in December, Apple TV+ pulled the French thriller The Hunt just a week before its premiere after plagiarism allegations surfaced, citing similarities to Shoot by Douglas Fairbairn. Following an investigation, production company Gaumont reviewed it and worked to resolve the issue. As the dispute has been settled, proper credit has been ensured, and the series is officially back on track with a new release date.
