Karin Slaughter has already sent Netflix viewers down a rabbit hole with Pieces of Her, where Toni Collette's seemingly ordinary mother came equipped with a past full of alarming surprises. Now the bestselling thriller writer is opening another family-sized Pandora's box.

The Good Daughter trades that mother-daughter mystery for two estranged sisters, a Georgia town with secrets packed tighter than a superhero's utility belt, and a crime that drags old wounds into daylight. Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy lead the investigation, but the Quinn family history promises plenty of emotional shrapnel.

Here is the release plan, story, and cast awaiting their next interrogation.

When and where to watch The Good Daughter, and what happens?

On November 12, 2026, Peacock will release all six episodes of The Good Daughter in the United States, inviting viewers to binge the entire mystery. Each installment runs approximately an hour. Across the Atlantic, Sky and NOW will carry the series in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the same date.

The limited thriller adapts Slaughter's 2017 novel, with the author writing every episode and serving as showrunner. Steph Green, whose directing credits include Watchmen, handles the entire six-part journey. Apparently, no one wanted this particular mystery passed between too many detectives.

Pikeville, Georgia, is where sisters Samantha and Charlotte Quinn survived a violent home invasion two decades earlier. Their mother died, and the surviving family members scattered emotionally and geographically. Sam escaped to New York, becoming a patent lawyer; Charlie stayed home, defending clients alongside their father, Rusty.

Then Charlie witnesses a deadly attack at her former high school. A principal and student are killed, and the resulting investigation draws Sam back at Rusty's request. Family loyalties, conflicting memories, and lingering grief turn the case into a puzzle with several missing pieces.
