The end is finally in sight for The Boys, and according to stars Karen Fukuhara and Erin Moriarty, the final season is going out in the most chaotic way possible. As anticipation builds for the show’s fifth and final installment, both actors recently opened up about the emotional and explosive journey awaiting fans, especially when it comes to the finale episode that apparently left even the cast stunned while reading the script.
Speaking with Steve Weintraub for Collider, the actresses reflected on their characters’ evolving arcs and hinted that Season 5 pushes the series into completely uncharted territory. But amid all the emotional development, one episode in particular has become the talk of the cast and it sounds like viewers are not ready for what’s coming.
That growing buzz around the finale only intensified after both stars singled out the same episode when asked which installment fans should be most excited to see.

Karen Fukuhara and Erin Moriarty say The Boys Finale is unlike anything the show has done before
During the Collider interview, both Erin Moriarty and Karen Fukuhara immediately pointed to Episode 8 as the season’s standout chapter, joining a growing list of cast members who have reportedly reacted the same way. The response alone has fueled speculation that the final episode could deliver one of the most unpredictable conclusions in the show’s history.
“Insane,” Erin Moriarty summed up the experience in one word while discussing the finale with Collider’s Steve Weintraub.
“I remember thinking, I was reading the script and I was wondering how they were going to pack all of that in — ‘How will we ever find the time to pack it into one episode?’ — and they did it, ” Karen Fukuhara elaborated further on just how ambitious the episode felt while reading the script.
Beyond teasing the finale itself, the actresses also hinted at major personal transformations for their characters. Moriarty explained that Annie’s journey this season revolves around confronting trauma through an entirely new coping mechanism, one that may finally force her to rediscover who she truly is. Meanwhile, Fukuhara revealed that Kimiko’s ability to speak opens the door to emotional connections and dynamics that the character has never been able to explore before, especially with Frenchie.
With expectations already sky-high, fans are now equally eager to learn how they can experience the finale event in theaters.
How fans can watch the The Boys Season 5 Finale in theaters?
Fans of The Boys will get the chance to experience the show’s final episode on the big screen through a special one-night-only theatrical event. Tickets for the screening are reportedly priced between $20 and $30, though they are being sold as concession vouchers rather than standard movie tickets to help secure seating. The screenings will take place at select theaters across the United States and Canada, with chains such as AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cineplex, Cinépolis, Marcus Theatres, and B&B Theatres expected to participate. Ticket availability has also appeared on platforms including Fandango and Regal’s official websites.
The theatrical rollout comes after the major success of Stranger Things Season 5’s event screenings, which reportedly generated more than $25 million. However, creator Eric Kripke has confirmed that The Boys finale will not be nearly as lengthy as Stranger Things’ extended final episode. Speaking to Collider’s Steve Weintraub, Kripke revealed that the concluding chapter is expected to run for less than one hour and six minutes despite the massive scale and high expectations surrounding the finale.
