Following the cosmic upheavals of the rebirth period, the multiverse introduced us to the greatest superhero of all universes. He is one of the last survivors of the planet Krypton and was sent to Earth as the dying planet’s last ray of hope. Yes! We are indeed talking about the red and blue cape bearer, Superman, born Kal-El. Created by the masterminds Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. And while fans have come across many faces of this high-octane hero, none has perhaps captivated them as Henry Cavill.

As 2023 marked the 85th anniversary of Clark Kent’s emergence, fans could not help but put their emotions on display for Cavill’s version of the Krypton native on full display. Ever since the early 1950s, many actors, starting from Kirk Alyn, have seemingly depicted their own version of the Superhero. However, none seems to have touched the fandom as effectively as the 39-year-old British actor did.

The Twitter account going by the name Warner Channel apparently celebrated all the actors who have so far rendered their own version of Superman, prompting fans to name their favorite version. And well, it seems like the fandom did not waste a second doing the homework. Below, you can have a look at the very evident choice of a plethora of people.

Well, if we scroll down the history, Kirk Alyn first portrayed the Krypton native back in 1948, followed by George Reeves, who played the role in Superman vs Mole Man, in 1951, and The Adventures of Superman, in 1958. And then, after almost after two decades, Christopher Reeve played Clark Clent in four movies till 1987. Furthermore, we also had three more actors playing the role till 2006. However, it was only in 2013 that Cavill first entered the big league, and has since become a fan favorite after Christopher Reeve.

While many say they vote for “Mr. Cavill.” others announce that the Man of Steel actor is the “best epitomy of Superman since Christopher Reeve.”

Well, even though fans absolutely love Cavill’s version of the superhero, he is no longer a part of the DC verse as James Gunn is shuffling the studio from its roots and is reportedly looking for a younger version of the Man of Steel.
