The Battery Pack in Zendaya’s ‘The Odyssey’ Premiere Dress Makes It Even Cooler

Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, brought some extra glam with technical help to their method approach dress at The Odyssey premiere in London. The actress turned heads at the event in a stunning white Schiaparelli corset gown. And like many of her press-tour looks, her outfit paid tribute to her latest project. From the sculptural corset to her hairstyle, every detail seemingly had a Grecian inspiration
What made her outfit even more remarkable, however, was that the dress shimmered with a glow, which was not just literally but also technically coming from the inside.

Zendaya wore a stunning Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress with a glowing skirt to The Odyssey premiere in London. Just hours before the premiere, the same look debuted on the runway during Daniel Roseberry's Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture show at Paris Couture Week. As the model later revealed backstage, the gown featurds a rechargeable battery that powers hidden LED lights, allowing the skirt to glow.
That technical detail explains the gown's shimmering effect at the event. While the LEDs are concealed within the dress, the exterior is adorned with pearl-white beads that cascade into metallic gray ombré fringes, creating the illusion of flowing liquid. The look is completed with a sculptural white breastplate that appears to reference ancient Greek sculpture.
Zendaya paired the dress with a Grecian-inspired braided hairstyle. During the premiere, she also received an enthusiastic reaction from her husband, Tom Holland. The actor admired the look and excitedly pointed out the dress's glowing effect.
“I mean give me a break,” he said. “And it lightens up like a lamp. Let’s get it girl.”
The actress has also been promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day and was recently seen wearing a cobweb-inspired dress.

Zendaya has continued her signature method dressing streak while promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She wore an archival sheer black Giorgio Armani gown from the designer's Spring 1990 collection during an appearance in Rome. The dress had intricate silver beading arranged in patterns that resembled delicate spiderwebs.

She paired the gown with a chic, cropped hairstyle and sparkling jewelry. In previous events, she also wore an archival Versace red-and-blue for another event in Rome. It was also a classic nod to the iconic colors of Spider-Man's suit and the film. The dress was from the label's fall 1997 collection. With promotional events for The Odyssey kicking off, there will be more exciting new looks.
