Bachelorette has been cancelled indefinitely amid the controversy surrounding a leaked video of a domestic violence incident showing Taylor Frankie Paul throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen. The show was set to premiere on March 22, 2026. As per Page Six, ABC made the decision to support the family during this time, and instead of The Bachelorette, the network will air a repeat episode of American Idol.

As for the leaked video, Frankie Paul’s spokesperson told TMZ that it lacks context and called it Mortensen’s “attention-seeking campaign.” In the video, one of the chairs thrown by the reality TV star was seen hitting Paul’s 8-year-old daughter, Indy. Frankie Paul and Mortensen, who share a son, Ever, were also reportedly involved in another domestic violence incident in February 2023.

This is not the only show that was cancelled. After the recent incident, Frankie Paul’s Hulu show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, also stopped production on Season 5. Her recent scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was also cancelled, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
