On April 24, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ben Affleck revealed that his toughest critics are his kids. He admitted they are brutal when reviewing his films, saying, “they're like very tough and they don't censor their criticism.” During lockdown, he showed them Armageddon, and his kids immediately tore into it, mocking the plot. Affleck shrugged, explaining it was not meant to be logical. What was meant to be a simple movie night quickly turned into a no-holds-barred roast session—teenagers, popcorn, and all.

Affleck was stunned, asking, “What’s the catch?” To his surprise, they genuinely loved it. “It was really good!” they said, almost as if they could not believe he did not mess it up.
