Hank Azaria is not thrilled about Taylor Swift scoring courtside seats at the 2026 NBA Finals. The Simpsons actor, a die-hard Knicks fan, attended Game 4 at Madison Square Garden the night New York pulled off one of the most dramatic comebacks in Finals history.
Between the rafters, the complimentary tickets and one very strategic courtside arrangement, Azaria had thoughts that went far beyond the final score.

Hank Azaria did not hold back when asked about the star-studded atmosphere at Madison Square Garden during Game 4. The actor confirmed the arena was packed with celebrities but noted that only the biggest names landed coveted courtside spots.
"I'll tell you the one that bothered me was Taylor Swift," Azaria confessed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, specifically singling out Swift.
He then elaborated, "I know she's the hugest thing in the world, but we had to sit with her all through the NFL and now she's at the Garden. Come on." The Grammy winner is engaged to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, making her a fixture at football stadiums last season.
On The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Azaria broke down exactly how Madison Square Garden distributes complimentary tickets to celebrities. Stars like Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan get confirmed spots, while others receive day-of notifications depending on demand. Azaria himself missed out on Game 3 entirely before landing upper-bowl Cisco Suites seats for Game 4, alongside Quest Love, Rainn Wilson, Jeremy Strong, and Aaron Judge, all equally stuck in the rafters. Swift, meanwhile, walked straight into three courtside seats with Alana and Este Haim.
As Hank Azaria counted empty courtside seats, Taylor Swift was down below making every camera in Madison Square Garden work overtime.
Taylor Swift steals the spotlight at the Knicks NBA Finals game
Taylor Swift turned Game 4 into must-watch television entirely on her own terms. She arrived wearing a custom Knicks-themed shirt punning on her idol Stevie Nicks, reading "Stevie Knicks," while the Haim sisters matched with equally clever wordplay. As the Knicks mounted their historic comeback, cameras repeatedly caught Swift jumping up, screaming, and waving rally towels with infectious energy.

Swift embraced Kylie Jenner post-victory and was filmed celebrating wildly with Mariska Hargitay as OG Anunoby sealed the win with a tip-in. She reportedly lost her voice entirely from screaming throughout the game. The Knicks went on to claim their first NBA championship in 53 years by defeating the Spurs in Game 5. Azaria may have been bothered, but Swift's courtside presence undeniably added to one of Madison Square Garden's most electric nights in decades.
