Across several years and multiple franchises, it has been proven time and again that talent was only one leg out of the two with which Ryan Reynolds established his successful career; the other was simply his charm. The actor, best known for his stint as the  Merc with a Mouth in Marvel, has presented himself as a savvy businessperson, owing to the phenomenal marketing stunts he would pull for Wrexham AFC and his production company. But while the red leather and smooth words easily glide through anywhere, Ryan Reynolds cannot make it work at home.

In a plot twist that is neither comic-accurate nor in the making at Marvel, the man behind the Deadpool mask finds his home to be the Bermuda Triangle for his charms, specifically his children.

Father of four, and for all his Maximum Effort, Reynolds' greatest performance , the charm, plays to an empty house. He told Entertainment Tonight the reviews at home run from a one-syllable "ugh" to a deadpan flat enough to make Deadpool jealous. Not even a healing factor could fix a face like that.

"It is both, ineffective and terrible for my self-esteem," Reynolds told Entertainment Tonight.

The actor who seems to have blurred the line between Deadpool and himself when it comes to being witty faces a tough crowd at home. But no matter how hard the blow, or in Reynolds' case, the "ugh" as he revealed to Entertainment Tonight, he continues to persevere. The Maximum Effort mastermind, following his blockbuster triumph with Deadpool & Wolverine, is now starring in an action comedy outside the Marvel label.

Following a period of semi-drought of projects, Ryan Reynolds is returning with Mayday alongside Kenneth Branagh. 

Ryan Reynolds may have secured his best act in the form of a Marvel role, but the actor is quite the triple threat with his producing and writing skills. With out-of-the-box movies such as Free Guy and The Adam Project, the actor has proven himself to be quite the asset to movies. And now, with the way Mayday is moving, the actor may have another hit right around the corner.

The film follows Lieutenant Troy Kelly, played by Reynolds, who falls into the Russian wilderness owing to a crash landing. How he survives and avoids capture is what makes up the plot of the movie. The movie features Kenneth Branagh, whose banter with Reynolds has been eye-catching throughout the promotions. With Mayday releasing on Apple TV on September 4, the audiences may just have a chance to cure Reynolds' low self-esteem.
