Supergirl (June 26, 2026)

Supergirl will see Milly Alcock reprise her role after her debut in Superman. One of the most important projects in DC's new cinematic universe, the movie follows the success of Superman and expands the franchise's cosmic side as the second theatrical release in DC Studios' new shared universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira and Alcock's first solo DCU film, it follows a version of Kara Zor-El shaped by a far harsher upbringing than Superman, giving her a distinctly different outlook on life. The story follows Kara as she travels across the galaxy alongside Ruthye, a young alien girl seeking revenge against Krem of the Yellow Hills for her father's murder. The trailer also highlights Kara's close bond with Krypto, introduces Jason Momoa's debut as Lobo, and teases a cameo from David Corenswet's Superman, further connecting the film to the growing DC Universe.

Clayface (October 23, 2026)

Based on Clayface, one of Batman's most tragic villains from the comics, the film will serve as the third installment in DC Studios' Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Unlike a traditional superhero movie, Clayface will embrace the horror genre, telling the story of Matt Hagen, an ambitious actor whose life is shattered after a brutal attack leaves him severely disfigured. Directed by James Watkins and written by Mike Flanagan alongside Hossein Amini, the film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Hagen, whose desperate search to restore his appearance and revive his acting career leads him to an experimental procedure that ultimately transforms him into the shape-shifting monster known as Clayface.

The teaser trailer leaned heavily into body horror, featuring Hagen recovering in a hospital bed with his face wrapped in bloody bandages, as well as unsettling glimpses of his melting and deforming body that emphasize his loss of identity and humanity. James Gunn has confirmed that the film exists within the main DC Universe continuity, making it an important part of the franchise's future.

The Batman: Part II (October 1, 2027)

One of the most anticipated superhero sequels in development, The Batman: Part II sees Robert Pattinson return as Bruce Wayne as the story continues after the events of The Batman and HBO's The Penguin. The film will explore a Gotham City still recovering from the Riddler's devastating attack while diving deeper into its crime-ridden underworld. However, unlike the DC Universe being developed by James Gunn, The Batman: Part II remains part of DC's standalone Elseworlds continuity, allowing director Matt Reeves to continue his grounded, noir-inspired vision of Gotham.

Pattinson is joined by returning cast members Colin Farrell as Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. While Warner Bros. has yet to reveal the full plot, Reeves has teased that the sequel will explore Bruce Wayne's personal journey in greater depth while introducing a major new threat. Production is currently underway, and although no official trailer has been released yet, the first footage is expected to arrive sometime in 2026. The film remains one of DC's most anticipated standalone projects.

Man of Tomorrow (July 9, 2027)

For longtime Superman fans, Man of Tomorrow may be the most exciting DC project on the horizon. Written and directed by James Gunn, the direct sequel to Superman follows Clark Kent and his greatest enemy, Lex Luthor, as they reluctantly join forces against a far greater threat: Brainiac. One of Superman's most iconic and fan-favorite villains, Brainiac, finally makes his DCU debut, making the film one of the biggest projects in DC Studios' Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.

David Corenswet will return as Superman alongside Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, with Rachel Brosnahan expected to reprise her role as Lois Lane. Lars Eidinger joins the cast as Brainiac, a super-intelligent alien android from the planet Colu.

Production is currently underway, and while no official trailer has been released yet, the film is already generating excitement thanks to its unusual premise, which places Superman and Lex on the same side against a threat powerful enough to endanger the entire world. Milly Alcock's Supergirl is also confirmed to return, further expanding the growing DC Universe.

Dynamic Duo (June 30, 2028)

The animated DC project Dynamic Duo brings Batman's iconic sidekicks into the spotlight, exploring the early friendship between Grayson and Jason Todd, two young heroes who would each take on the mantle of Robin at different points in DC Comics history. As they pursue their dreams and develop very different visions for the future, their bond is put to the test, ultimately shaping the legendary duo fans know from the comics.

No cast members have been officially announced, and there is currently no trailer. However, one of the project's most exciting aspects is its unique visual approach. Dynamic Duo will be DC Studios' first feature film to use Swaybox Studios' distinctive combination of stop-motion-style puppetry and CGI, giving it a look unlike any previous DC movie. While its exact place within DC continuity remains unclear, James Gunn has confirmed that the film is not connected to Matt Reeves' The Batman universe.

The Brave and the Bold (TBD)

Batman and Robin are one of the most iconic duos in comic book history, and they are finally set to make their DCU debut on the big screen in The Brave and the Bold. Inspired by Grant Morrison's acclaimed comic run, the film follows Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian Wayne, a highly skilled young assassin whom Batman discovers and takes under his wing as Robin. Described by James Gunn as an unusual father-son story, the movie is expected to explore the beginnings of the Bat-Family within the DC Universe while offering a fresh take on Batman that differs from recent live-action portrayals.

Andy Muschietti is attached to direction, with Christina Hodson writing the screenplay. Although no cast members have been officially announced and there is currently no trailer, the project remains one of the most anticipated entries in DC's future slate. Set within the main DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, The Brave and the Bold is completely separate from Matt Reeves' The Batman franchise starring Robert Pattinson.

Swamp Thing (TBD)

If Clayface explores body horror, Swamp Thing is poised to take DC even deeper into the realm of supernatural horror. One of the most mysterious projects in DC Studios' Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, the film aims to explore the dark origins of one of DC Comics' most beloved supernatural characters. Created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, Swamp Thing follows scientist Alec Holland, whose tragic transformation turns him into a powerful plant-based creature caught between humanity and nature.

James Gunn has described the movie as a horror-focused story that will reveal a darker side of the DC Universe while remaining connected to the franchise's larger mythology. Although there is currently no confirmed release date, the project remains in active development. James Mangold, known for directing Logan and Ford v Ferrari, is attached to helm the film. While plot details remain largely under wraps and no cast members have been announced, Swamp Thing is set within the main DC Universe continuity, making it an important piece of the franchise's future expansion into its supernatural corner.

Constantine 2 (TBD)

More than two decades after the original film became a cult favorite, Constantine 2 is finally moving forward with Keanu Reeves returning as the supernatural detective and exorcist John Constantine. The sequel reunites Reeves with director Francis Lawrence and writer Akiva Goldsman, continuing the dark, demon-filled world established in the 2005 film. While plot details remain under wraps, the creative team has hinted at a story inspired by the Hellblazer comics, with a strong focus on the occult, Heaven and Hell, and the morally complex battles that made the original a fan favorite.

The film remains in the script development stage, and no trailer has been released. However, Lawrence has promised a true R-rated sequel that stays faithful to the darker tone of the original rather than becoming a conventional superhero blockbuster. Constantine 2 is expected to exist within the same universe as the 2005 movie and will operate separately from the main DC Universe continuity, making it one of DC's most anticipated Elseworlds-style projects.

Teen Titans (TBD)

After defining a generation through comics and animation, the Teen Titans are finally preparing for their live-action movie debut. Teen Titans aims to bring DC's iconic team of young superheroes to the big screen. While official story details remain under wraps, it is expected to follow a new generation of heroes inspired by the sidekicks and protégés of the Justice League. Over the years, the Teen Titans have featured fan-favorite characters such as Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Cyborg, making the project one of the most anticipated additions to the growing DC Universe.

Ana Nogueira, who also wrote Supergirl, is attached to pen the screenplay, though no director, cast members, or trailer have been announced. The film is being developed as part of the main DC Universe continuity overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran rather than as a standalone Elseworlds project. Although development remains in its early stages, the prospect of seeing the Teen Titans make their live-action DCU debut has already generated significant excitement among fans.

Sgt. Rock (TBD)

Though reportedly shelved or delayed due to scheduling issues, Sgt. Rock has not been permanently canceled and could still be revisited with creative changes in the future. Despite uncertainty surrounding its release, the character has already been referenced in Creature Commandos, confirming that Sgt. Rock exists within the broader DCU continuity. Unlike most DC adaptations, the film focuses on military action and wartime adventure rather than superheroes, offering a completely different side of the DC Universe.
