When Lasso finally tries to describe himself, the words that come out are actually meant for someone else entirely. He calls himself hopeful, resilient, and kind, only to admit those words describe Jones rather than him. Jones reassures him that he will land on the right words eventually, and later that night, reflecting quietly on the day, Lasso lands on something simpler: he is lovable.

Roy Kent returns to work on a scooter, nursing a broken foot and clearly still irritated about it. Erin Beaumont, tending to his injury, listens to him ramble about Keeley for far longer than any professional visit requires. It does not take long for her to realize exactly what that rambling means, and she calls it out without hesitation.

Elsewhere in the building, Zelda Southport arrives with an armful of increasingly strange swag bags and an even stranger offer of help. She and Rebecca Welton team up to outmaneuver a lying agent threatening to destabilize the roster, and their chemistry proves immediately effective. By the end of their conversation, Rebecca asks Southport to join Richmond permanently as a Special Adviser.

While Southport settles into her new title, the real threat to Richmond's roster turns out to involve one player in particular.

Dani Rojas' agent, Derrick, walks into Rebecca Welton's office claiming his client has received a rival offer and is unhappy with his current terms. Derrick hints that keeping Rojas happy will also mean renegotiating with Roy Kent, a claim that immediately puts both executives on edge. Welton and Leslie Higgins suspect the entire story is exaggerated, though they know they cannot simply ignore it.

Zelda Southport steps in almost immediately, phoning Derrick under a fake persona to dig into his claims. Derrick names Newcastle as the supposed suitor, a detail Higgins quickly disproves with a single phone call to a contact there. The lie unravels within minutes, leaving Derrick with nothing left to negotiate.

With Derrick's bluff exposed and Rojas' contract situation defused before it could spiral, Richmond closes out the episode more settled than it started. Ted Lasso, meanwhile, chooses the theatre over his half-finished dating profile, only to learn the stage manager he was hoping to ask out is already seeing someone.
