Talamasca: The Secret Order is a spin-off of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire series. Although it is set in the same universe, the show is a standalone spy thriller with supernatural elements. So, it can be enjoyed without watching Interview with the Vampire. Even those who are unfamiliar with Anne Rice's Immortal Universe or have never watched the Sam Reid-starring series can follow the story. While the Talamasca itself is a real organization drawn from Rice's novels, protagonist Guy Anatole and his storyline are original to the series, not adapted from any specific book.
