Sylvester Stallone thinks that getting his daughter the Tulsa King role is entirely justified under the good parents’ guideline. There is nothing a parent would not go for their children, so getting a role is the least they would do for the happiness of their kids. The nepotism debate is not something new; it has existed for time immemorial, but no one has embraced it like Rocky star Sylvester Stallone. Over the years, big stars have defended their kids getting into Hollywood with the leeway of their name; however, Stallone takes an aggressive approach to this question, attacking the detractors instead.

According to him, getting his daughter a role in his hit crime drama Tulsa King is what good parents do.

Sylvester Stallone owns up to nepotism like no one else

In a recent October 16 interview with USA TODAY, Sylvester Stallone talked about the new season of Tulsa King. The fourth season of the show has Stallone’s daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, in an extended role after first appearing in season 1 of the series as a stable hand named Spencer. For the people dismissing this casting choice as a classic case of nepotism, Stallone has only one thing to say:

“You're not a good parent if you haven't performed a little nepotism. Then obviously you don't care about your kids, because they come first," Stallone said.

“Of course it's nepotism, you idiot. That's why we're parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously we let them have every advantage," he added.

While enthusiastically championing family ties in Hollywood, the veteran action icon emphasized to USA TODAY that opening doors for one's children comes with a strict operational boundary: offspring may reap the initial benefits of industry connections, but ultimate longevity remains entirely up to them.

According to the actor, providing a head start is simply a natural extension of parenting, yet he noted that the harsh spotlight of public scrutiny quickly sorts out who belongs. While acknowledging that critics are bound to dismiss early career advantages as unearned handouts, he argued that sustaining a presence in front of millions of viewers demands genuine capability. Ultimately, in his view, parental influence can crack open the door, but individual talent determines whether an actor sinks or swims once they step through.
