Sydney Sweeney’s post-Euphoria run has become increasingly eclectic, moving from the rom-com breakout of Anyone But You to horror with Immaculate, drama with Reality and survival fare in Eden. Now, one of the more unexpected threads in her expanding slate is beginning to emerge, and it connects two of her upcoming films through the same breakout franchise.

The interesting part is not simply that Sweeney has another new project. It is who she is sharing these projects with, because two actors from OFF CAMPUS are now turning up opposite her in very different corners of her upcoming filmography.

Sydney Sweeney is set to star opposite Belmont Cameli in Hollow, Lindsey Anderson Beer’s upcoming gothic thriller. Sweeney will play Katrina Van Tassel, while Cameli has been cast as Brom Bones, her suitor. That casting is particularly notable for anyone tracking the OFF CAMPUS breakout, since Cameli plays Garrett Graham in the upcoming series.  She is also set to star opposite Stephen Kalyn in The Housemaid’s Secret, the sequel to her 2025 thriller The Housemaid.

Sweeney therefore has two separate upcoming projects that have quietly crossed paths with the same emerging ensemble.

Deadline reported that Cameli has joined the Sony Pictures project, which Beer is directing and adapting from her forthcoming novel of the same name. Sweeney has spoken about wanting roles that challenge her rather than simply recreating the energy of Cassie Howard, pointing to projects such as Reality, Anyone But You, The Housemaid and Eden as evidence of that range. 

There is another timely reason the OFF CAMPUS connection stands out. The Housemaid is about to enter a new phase of its life, with the R-rated thriller scheduled to arrive on HBO Max on October 9, 2026, according to ScreenRant. The move comes after the film became a major theatrical success for Sweeney, giving her another franchise-adjacent property just as The Housemaid’s Secret continues moving forward.

The timing also puts Sydney Sweeney and Kalyn’s future collaboration in sharper focus. The Housemaid became one of Sweeney’s biggest theatrical successes, while the sequel is set to continue the story based on Freida McFadden’s follow-up novel. The upcoming film has already expanded its cast, adding Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly, with Paul Feig returning to direct.

For Sweeney, that means the OFF CAMPUS connection is not an isolated casting coincidence. Between Hollow, The Housemaid’s Secret, her work on Gundam and the wider slate she has been building as both actor and producer, her post-Euphoria phase continues to move in several directions at once.
