Ever since their romance got official, famous Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney and American businessman and investor Scooter Braun have been under the lens of scrutiny all the time. That is the thing with celebrity couples, everything about them instantly makes headlines, and the age gap between both parties is no exception to it. When the gap in the ages is noticeable enough, it becomes fair game to some judgment and may even be some criticism. 

But what is even the age gap between Sweeney and Braun, and is it big enough to be worth discussing?

One of Hollywood's newest couples, Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun, have a startling age difference and are among the celebrity romances that, to many, seemed out of place. And the 16-year age gap would definitely be one of the prime reasons why. A gap this big is quite discernible and does invite a lot of judgment.

Sweeney is a well-known Gen Z actor who was born in 1997 and shot to instant fame with her role in Euphoria. Braun, on the other hand, was born in 1981, 16 years before Sweeney's birth, and is a music manager who previously managed Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and other millennial pop singers.

However, for Sydney Sweeney, the age gap issue is not something new. She was previously engaged to Jonathan Davino, a businessman from Chicago, who is apparently 14 years older than her. They began dating in 2018 and were together for seven years before ending their relationship in 2025 due to their divergent priorities and her desire to focus on her career.

Circling back to Sweeney and Braun, their love story is relatively new, and the timeline does not really go that far back.

Sydney Sweeney first appeared with the former talent manager and current business tycoon in June 2025 at Jeff Bezos' wedding in Venice, Italy. After that, they were caught sharing an intimate moment in Central Park in New York City in November and eating pizza on a date night in Los Angeles. Since then, things between them have become increasingly serious.

They went one step further the previous week when Sydney Sweeney made it official on Instagram by reposting a photo of the couple on her Instagram story. Scooter Braun posted the black-and-white image, which was taken at the Euphoria season three premiere, on his own story, calling himself lucky in the post. Their romance is blossoming at a rapid pace, and the age gap does not seem to bother them at all.
