The plot of Swapped on Netflix

The animated movie, Swapped, follows a tiny woodland creature, Ollie, and a bird, Ivy, who are natural enemies in the Valley. However, their sweet and peaceful lives flip overnight after a body-swap mishap. Now stuck in each other’s bodies, they are forced to team up, deal with all the dangers of the ecosystem, and survive this bizarre journey.

As the characters deal with the unknown, the film promises to balance tension with heart in unexpected ways. While speaking about the movie to Tudum, director Nathan Greno explained that their creative team took inspiration from the live-action documentaries to understand the wild ecosystem. Later, he also praised the voice cast, including Oscar-winning actor Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple, for their performance in the movie.

“Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple brought such warmth and authenticity to the film. Every moment between them feels alive — funny one second, deeply moving the next. Their chemistry lifts the story and gives Swapped its wings,” he said.

While the cast and story were already revealed by the streaming giant, there was initially some uncertainty around the release date, which has now finally been confirmed
