For years, fans have been clamoring for a true Big Bang Theory spinoff, but never in their dreams would they have anticipated that they would be surprised with Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. Kevin Sussman plays Stuart again in the upcoming series, which is created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady. Stuart is an awkward and angsty comic book shop proprietor who frequently hosts numerous iconic The Big Bang Theory sequences.

With the release of the spinoff inching closer and closer, The Big Bang Theory enthusiasts are dying to know who else will be a part of Stuart’s adventure.

Kevin Sussman: Sussman plays Stuart Bloom, the owner of a comic book business entrusted with bringing reality back following a multiverse accident. In the upcoming series, he also plays many alternate versions of Stuart.

Brian Posehn: Posehn was the adorable and sweet geologist, Bert Kibbler, from the original series. He is Stuart’s best friend and will be his most trusted ally in this multiversal adventure.

Lauren Lapkus: Lapkus played Stuart’s comic book expert girlfriend, Denise, in the original series, but now their relationship dynamics have changed. Denise apparently has a new boyfriend now, even though she will be helping Stuart in his attempt to restore order in this multiversal chaos.

John Ross Bowie: Bowie portrays quantum physicist Barry Kripke in both his original role and Supreme Ruler Barry Kripke in an alternate dimension.   

Additional cast includes Josh Brener and Ryan Cartwright, who will not be extending their cameo roles from the first sitcom. Rather, Cartwright will now portray a frequent customer of Stuart's store and a comic book fanatic. Trevor is the character that Brener will portray. Brener portrayed Stuart's friend Dale on The Big Bang Theory. Tommy Walker, who will portray Gary, a new romantic interest for Lapkus' Denise, is a new addition to the universe.

The new and returning faces will be a part of an epic sci-fi adventure led by the most unlikely hero.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows our beloved comic book store owner, Stuart Bloom, who accidentally initiates a multiverse disaster by breaking a device created by Sheldon and Leonard. When the mistake causes an Armageddon across realities, Stuart is left to fix the damage.

To make amends, he teams up with his friend Bert, a geologist, his love interest Denise, and the usually annoying but intelligent Barry Kripke. However, even with the help, Stuart's path is far from simple, and there is a lot of noise along the way. The new Big Bang Theory spinoff releases on July 23 and can be streamed on HBO Max.
