The gang of Hawkins made everyone fall in love with them since their first appearance on the show. And one of the core characters that surpassed the expectations of viewers last year includes Lucas Sinclair.

Caleb McLaughlin has higher expectations from Lucas

We all know that the American actor has been busy promoting his latest project Shooting Stars lately. For the same, he recently sat down with Cinema Blend to talk about his character Dru Joyce III. Fans may know that McLaughlin put a lot of effort and training into doing this role of belonging to the sports world. Picking this stance, the host asked the young actor whether his Stranger Things character will do “more on-court stuff” in season 5.

In his response, the 21-year-old stated that Lucas Sinclair has been through a lot at such a young age. From fighting supernatural creatures to handling relationships, there are so many things. In Season 4 fans saw him playing basketball and even playing tribute to Kobe Bryant. However, it was not something that the character really wanted to do. “But if he does play next season, we’ll never know until the writers’ strike is over,” he remarked.

The New York native continued that even though it is unclear, he does want to him play. Well, from what fans saw last time, it is impossible that Lucas would get the time to follow his dreams because danger has entered their homes.

What to expect from Stranger Things 5? 

It is clear that the explosive ending of season 4 has set up an even bigger showdown for the final season. Though the Hawkins gang defeated Vecna, he is still not killed. His disappearance from his realm is the biggest sign that he will make a comeback when he charges up his powers. Moreover, the four gates of Upside Down have opened chasms in the town, which means anything can come out now.

Last but not least, Duffer Brothers have mentioned previously that they will take back the show to where it started. Therefore, there is a chance that they restore the city as it was before with Eleven’s powers.
