Stick Season 2
Season 1 of Stick left Owen Wilson's Pryce Cahill with something resembling a second chance, even if his golf career remained buried beneath years of grief and one spectacular public meltdown. His unlikely project, teenage prodigy Santiago Wheeler, had dazzled at the Ready Safe Invitational, while their traveling entourage evolved into a wonderfully chaotic found family.
Santi found romance with Zero, Elena and Mitts found each other, and Pryce finally began confronting the wreckage of his past. Six months later, the golf gods have apparently swapped their inspirational soundtrack for a battle anthem.
Season 2 opens with two men chasing different futures.
Episode 1 Pryce finds his swing as Santi loses patience
The action moves to Georgia's Dove Charity Pro/Am Invitational, where Santi finishes third and proves that his Ready Safe breakthrough was hardly beginner's luck. Unfortunately, there is one obstacle standing between the youngster and professional golf: his mentor, armed with a full scholarship to Indiana University and the enthusiasm of a guidance counselor who refuses to clock out.

Pryce insists that Santi needs education and emotional preparation before throwing himself into a punishing sporting career. Santi sees lucrative opportunities slipping away. He even reminds his coach that making money from his talent was once the entire plan.
The objection stings because Pryce's sudden caution springs from genuine affection, reinforced by painful memories of his child's death and the collapse of his own career. Santi suspects Elena helped inspire this college-first philosophy. Then the sport delivers its latest punchline. Pryce agrees to fill a place in a charity foursome for an old friend, with homeless children benefiting from the event.
A couple of cocky golfers wager that he will implode on the course. Instead, the retired pro produces accurate shots, fearless decisions, and a performance that practically dusts off his old trophy cabinet. Santi watches his reluctant mentor become the day's unexpected attraction. A smooth-talking young agent, Jeremy Pierce, also begins circling Santi and Zero, offering a tempting glimpse of the professional world.
Meanwhile, Amber-Linn arranges a dinner date for Pryce with her coworker Beth. His gloomy observations about nature send the evening into a bunker. Clark Ross appears, gets along with Beth, and pitches Pryce on becoming the oldest US Open winner. The comeback proposal gets rejected, but the seed has landed.
And as the gang heads west, Jeremy is preparing an offer capable of splitting this unlikely golf family down the middle.
Episode 2 Why does Santi choose Jeremy, and does Pryce return to golf?
Los Angeles supplies another invitational, another strong showing from Santi, and a fresh round of tension over college. Jeremy is now delivering the complete celebrity-agent experience. He brings the teenager into exclusive social circles, introduces him to Michael Jordan at a party, and sells the idea that fame, sponsorships, and serious earnings are waiting just beyond the next fairway.

Zero remains Santi's girlfriend, caddie, and social media partner, watching the momentum build around him. Elena and Mitts are also happily together, with Mitts hoping she will move in. Yet the group's domestic progress cannot disguise the widening fracture between teacher and pupil.
Jeremy understands exactly which buttons to press. He paints Pryce as a relic of yesterday's golf business, someone unable to appreciate the promotional opportunities attached to a rising star. Santi already wants to compete professionally, so the pitch lands on fertile ground. His ambition is genuine; the new agent simply gives it a glossy brochure and a VIP wristband.
Pryce continues warning against a life built entirely around one sport. He knows how quickly a promising career can collapse and wants Santi to have something solid beyond the scoreboard. To the teenager, that protection feels increasingly like a leash. Clark, meanwhile, keeps pursuing Pryce with visions of a spectacular US Open comeback and the publicity jackpot surrounding it.
The final confrontation arrives at a group meal. Santi announces he is turning professional. Pryce reluctantly accepts. Then comes the real grenade: Santi has chosen Jeremy to represent him, cutting his mentor out of the next chapter. Pryce and Mitts leave Elena, Zero, and Santi behind.
Rather than retreat into another personal rough patch, Pryce visits Clark's hotel room and agrees to compete again. Two careers are suddenly heading toward different tees. With the former mentor returning to professional golf, the possibility of a future showdown now hangs over their fractured relationship.
