Tom Rhys Harries has revealed how he crossed paths with Tom Holland while filming Clayface. The two actors were working on separate blockbusters at the same time, and their schedules happened to place them in the same corner of England. Neither film had much in common with the other, yet one ordinary routine kept putting them in the same room.
While most celebrity run-ins happen on red carpets, this one happened in a gym, and the neighborhood details make it even better.

Tom Rhys Harries found himself sharing more than just the filming schedule with Tom Holland while both actors were working in Leavesden. As Clayface and Spider-Man: Brand New Day were shooting in the same area, Harries happened to be staying close to the studios. The actor recalled running into Holland away from the set, including a few unexpected encounters at the gym.
"We were shooting Clayface in Leavesden. I was staying in these little cottages not far from the studios," the Welsh actor casually described the scene to Interview Magazine.
He then added, "Tom Holland was staying near me. I saw him in the gym a couple of times."

The remark came during a conversation with Kit Connor for Interview Magazine, where Harries made it clear that he was not drawing parallels between the two films. Instead, he was expressing his admiration for Holland and Connor, praising how gracefully they have handled fame from such a young age while continuing to build strong careers. Harries admitted that he would not have handled the same level of attention as well at their age.
While Holland and Connor grew up in the spotlight, Harries took the long road to a lead role.

Harries was introduced to DC fans at San Diego Comic-Con alongside director James Watkins. The film is billed as the studio's first R-rated body-horror thriller. It follows Hagen, a Gotham street kid turned Hollywood leading man, whose face is ruined by a crime boss before an experimental cosmetic compound turns his flesh into living clay. For now, the gym remains the one place where Harries and Tom Holland crossed paths.
