Sam Witwer as Maul: Witwer, who previously voiced the character in The Clone Wars and Rebels, was the choice for this season.
Gideon Adlon as Devon Izara: Adlon, who previously worked in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths and Terminator Zero, will lend her voice to Devon Izara. Many might also recognize her from Miller’s Girl and Blockers.
Wagner Moura as Brander Lawson: Wagner Moura, well known for her roles in The Secret Agent and Narcos, will join the cast to lend his voice to Brander Lawson.
Richard Ayoade as Two-Boots: Ayoade has previously worked on The Mandalorian to lend his voice to droid Q9-0.
Chris Diamantopoulos, Dennis Haysbert, Steve Blum, David W. Collins, A. J. LoCascio, Charlie Bushnell, and Vanessa Marshall are also part of the cast. Bringing both familiar and new actors to the series brings both nostalgia and a new perspective to this new chapter, focusing on Maul. With Dave Filoni actively being part of the project and a stellar cast behind the series, the expectations are clearly high.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is confirmed for season 2
Season 1 of Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord will premiere on April 6, 2026. However, even before the premiere, the show had gotten the green light for season 2. Dave Filoni confirmed that a second season is already under work.

While the details and release date of the next chapter are yet to be revealed, there is already excitement across the fandom. Until then, all eyes will be on the first season and Maul’s story. After the first two episodes’ release on premiere day, the series will follow a weekly release format.
