Marvel has a long history of reviving its iconic characters for new stories. Now, ElevenLabs is doing the same with Stan Lee. The company announced a new deal to license the late comic legend’s voice and mannerisms through its Iconic Marketplace.

“ElevenLabs is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Stan Lee Universe, bringing the voice, likeness, and spirit of one of pop culture's most beloved icons to our platform - across voice, image, and music,” the official announcement read.

Stan Lee’s voice is now on the ElevenLabs Iconic Marketplace and Eleven Reader app as well. Created from professional recordings that capture his unmistakable warmth, wit, and energy, this voice clone lets fans experience Lee’s narration and storytelling in a manner that feels true to the man himself. Additionally, the collaboration opens the door for an AI-generated Lee to feature in commercial audio and visual projects.

The partnership also marks the debut of the Stan Lee Book of the Month Club inside Eleven Reader. Under a deal with the Stan Lee Universe, the comic book creator’s cloned voice will narrate some of his favorite books in the Eleven Reader app.  The Book Book Club will kick off with Robert Louis Stevenson’s 'Treasure Island', and will tackle a further 12 books over the course of the next year.

Lee’s voice will also be available on ElevenLabs’ Iconic Voice Marketplace, synthesized from historical professional recordings. Lee is also featured in the ElevenLabs Image & Video Marketplace, where users will be able to create the kind of cameos that made him synonymous with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Music is also being created, inspired by the “aesthetic and energy” of his imagination.

Lee created many of the famous superheroes, such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Panther, and The Fantastic Four. He used his writing skills to humanize the superheroes by assigning them some imperfections. This made it easier for Marvel to transition from comic books to a global brand.

Meanwhile, as AI continues to transform entertainment, Lee’s digital comeback represents a significant moment in the preservation and reintroduction of iconic creative legacies. The collaboration with ElevenLabs is not only bringing his voice and mannerism into a new era. However, it is also opening up a wider conversation about how technology could redefine storytelling, memory, and legacy in the years to come.
