The film's incredible run in theaters, which also included the largest Tuesday ever at the US box office with $42 million, surpassing 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home with $39 million, is built upon by the most recent milestone. 

With $47 million, Brand New Day was the highest-grossing movie on Monday, surpassing the $40 million mark set by Black Panther in 2018. And prior to that, it recorded the biggest Friday, beating Avengers: Endgame with $168 million against Marvel’s highest-grosser’s $157 million.

In just four days, this Spider-Man adaptation became the fastest movie in North America to reach $400 million, and in just six days, it became the second-fastest movie to reach $1 billion. With an astounding $1.2 billion globally in just three days, only the Marvel crown jewel Avengers: Endgame from 2019 reached that milestone more quickly. If this momentum carries on, then $1.7 billion this weekend, as hinted at in the Global Box Office X post, is an easy target.
