For more than three decades, the Sniper franchise has quietly survived changing Hollywood trends, new lead actors, and the industry’s shift from DVDs to streaming. Just when many assumed the long-running action series had fired its last shot, Netflix gave it an entirely new lease on life. Now, after Sniper: No Nation stormed the streamer’s global charts, the veteran franchise is officially gearing up for another mission.

The next chapter is already locked in, and fans won’t have to wonder whether that jaw-dropping cliffhanger will ever be resolved.

When will Sniper: No Nation Part II be released?

Although Sony Pictures has yet to officially announce a release date, Sniper: No Nation Part II is already moving forward. Lead star Chad Michael Collins recently confirmed the sequel while responding to fans on Instagram, repeatedly teasing that it is “coming soon” before adding parachute emojis that hinted production is already in motion. The confirmation comes just weeks after Sniper: No Nation became one of Netflix’s biggest action successes of 2026, breaking into the platform’s Global Top 10 and climbing as high as No. 2 in the United States.

An exact production timeline remains under wraps, but history suggests fans may not have to wait long. The Sniper franchise has built a reputation for quick turnarounds, releasing multiple installments over the past decade with minimal gaps between productions. Given Netflix’s strong streaming numbers and the film’s deliberately unresolved ending, the sequel appears to have been fast-tracked to capitalize on the franchise’s renewed popularity.

But before Brandon Beckett pulls the trigger again, it’s worth revisiting the explosive mission that set the sequel in motion.

What is Sniper: No Nation about?

The twelfth installment follows elite sniper Brandon Beckett after he and his trusted ally Zero are abandoned by the very government they once served. Declared enemies of the state through political manipulation, the pair become “men with no nation” and are forced into hiding while ruthless dictator Roman Díaz unleashes a powerful mercenary force known as the Iron Legion to eliminate them and crush a growing rebellion inside Costa Verde.

As Brandon learns that several of his closest allies have been captured and sentenced to public execution, he reunites with his father, legendary sniper Thomas Beckett, for a daring rescue mission deep inside enemy territory. The operation delivers explosive sniper battles, betrayals, and a shocking cliffhanger that leaves Thomas Beckett’s fate uncertain while Brandon himself falls into enemy hands, setting up the events of Sniper: No Nation Part II.

Of course, no Sniper film would hit its target without the franchise’s familiar faces leading the charge.

Who stars in Sniper: No Nation?

Chad Michael Collins once again leads the franchise as Brandon Beckett, continuing the role he first took over in 2011’s Sniper: Reloaded. Joining him is franchise veteran Tom Berenger, who returns as legendary Marine sniper Thomas Beckett, alongside Ryan Robbins as Zero, Josh Brener, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Tuks Tad Lungu, giving the latest installment one of the series’ strongest ensemble casts to date.

Directed by Trevor Calverley, Sniper: No Nation blends long-range military action with political conspiracy and survival thriller elements while honoring more than three decades of franchise history. Its breakout Netflix success has introduced the series to an entirely new generation of viewers, proving that one of Hollywood’s longest-running action franchises still has plenty of ammunition left.

With Sniper: No Nation Part II officially teased, the franchise is proving that three decades of action still have not dulled its aim.
