Michael B. Jordan’s Sinners dominated 2025 in almost every way a horror film could. It opened to instant critical raves, landed with a thunderous $280 million domestic and $370 million worldwide box office ($90 million internationally), and became one of the year’s most talked-about cultural events. The Ryan Coogler-directed supernatural thriller also proved itself on streaming.

Drawing huge audiences after hitting Prime Video, it earned near-universal praise from both critics and viewers. But that acclaimed streaming run is about to end.

Sinners will exit Prime Video on June 25, 2026, giving subscribers only a short window to watch or revisit the film before it disappears from the platform. The film features Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, blending period horror with a blues-infused atmosphere set in the Mississippi Delta in 1932.

Critically, the film has maintained exceptional scores, with 97% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 96% from audiences. Those numbers reflect not only strong reviews but also widespread viewer appreciation, which carried over from theaters into streaming. Its global box office total of more than $370 million already marked it as a rare horror blockbuster success.

The streaming phase extended that success, making Sinners one of the most talked-about titles on Prime Video during its run. Now, with its departure looming, viewers who have yet to experience the film will need to act quickly. Its next destination remains uncertain, whether that means another platform, a digital purchase window, or a future licensing deal elsewhere.

Michael B. Jordan eyes Miami Vice reboot as next major move

Outside of Sinners, Michael B. Jordan is preparing to step into a completely different arena with the upcoming Miami Vice reboot, titled Miami Vice '85. He is set to take on the iconic detective role once associated with Don Johnson, bringing a modern interpretation to the neon-lit crime world that defined the original series. The project aims to balance nostalgia with a contemporary edge.

Joining him is Austin Butler, who will portray his partner in a dynamic designed to echo the classic duo while introducing a fresh generational perspective. The pairing has already generated strong buzz, with expectations that their chemistry will anchor the film’s narrative. The reboot is positioning itself as both a tribute and a reinvention.

There is also growing speculation surrounding a major casting addition that could elevate the film further. Reports suggest Tom Cruise is being considered for the role of the primary antagonist, potentially playing a ruthless crime boss or power broker. If confirmed, his presence would create a compelling clash, adding another layer of intensity to the project.
