Was it when Kim Kardashian rekindled her friendship and much more with Lewis Hamilton? Or was it when Brad Pitt walked out in F1 gear to mark a blockbuster with F1? It is hard to pinpoint exactly when F1 and Hollywood developed a pseudo marriage to rule over pop culture. While the past remains unclear, the future of the concoction is looking a lot like Sandra Bullock's daughter.

If Bullock's latest admission is anything to go by, the pit lane and the red carpet are not far apart.

For decades now, with no signs of slowing down, Sandra Bullock has ruled our screens, first as the reigning IT girl of rom-coms, then as a versatile actress who tackled everything from comedy to drama with ease. With two kids at home, audiences have long wondered who might inherit that Hollywood crown next. As it turns out, they may have been looking in the wrong arena entirely. In a recent interview with Live with Kelly and Mark, Bullock revealed that while her son leans toward basketball, her daughter might just be shaping up to be an F1 prodigy instead.

"She is so good that they came to me and they said if you want to train her, she could be like a Formula 1 racer,” Bullock revealed.

Bullock further added on Live with Kelly and Mark that she, too, was trying to figure out what this meant for her as a mom. As she tries to navigate motherhood with gifted children, Sandra Bullock has also graciously named actresses who she thinks are fit for her crown as the go-to girl for Hollywood rom-coms.

While she may be ready to pass the crown, Sandra Bullock isn't done ruling the industry just yet, and her next project is a reminder of the same.

Released in 1998, and having earned a worldwide revenue of  $94.4 million at the box office, to say that Practical Magic was a blockbuster would be an understatement. The movie, owing to its actors, dialogues, costumes, and sheer impact, remains iconic. And striking while that long-simmering iron is finally hot, director Susanne Bier, along with the returning cast and crew, decided the time was right for Practical Magic 2.

Along with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, the sequel also stars Maisie Williams and Joey King, who play the daughters of Bullock's character, Sally. On theme with the original, the 2026 release also follows the two witch sisters as they try to wiggle their way out of the curse, which leaves them with a loveless life. However, this time it is for Sally's daughters. 

It seems fitting, then, that Sandra Bullock's story right now is unfolding on two tracks at once, quite literally. On one hand, there's a daughter who may be trading in the family's Hollywood legacy for a helmet and a steering wheel. On the other, there is Bullock herself, stepping right back into the spotlight she was supposedly ready to hand off, with Practical Magic 2 arriving in theaters on September 10. Between the two, one thing is certain: whether it's on the track or on the screen, the Bullock name isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
