The Prestige was co-written by Christopher Nolan and his brother, Jonathan Nolan, and is based on the 1995 novel by Christopher Priest. Packed with subtle details, the film never stops surprising viewers, even after several rewatches. The film follows two Victorian-era magicians and rivals, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden, who go to dangerous lengths to beat each other with their magic tricks.

What makes this psychological thriller even more compelling is the terrific performance by Christian Bale. The cast also includes Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, and Andy Serkis. The movie is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.

Another masterpiece in Christopher Nolan’s celebrated resume is the 2000 film Memento. The psychological thriller is based on the short story Memento Mori, written by his brother, Jonathan Nolan. The movie follows Leonard Shelby, played by Guy Pearce, who suffers from anterograde amnesia, or in simple words, short-term memory loss, as he struggles to solve the mystery of his wife's death.
