We all know Selena Gomez is a billionaire, with her successful entertainment career and business ventures playing a major role in her fortune. However, one of those ventures has now presented an unexpected obstacle for the singer and actress. Gomez is facing a federal lawsuit from five investors in her mental health startup, Wondermind, who allege trickery.
The allegations have prompted a vigorous response from Selena Gomez’s legal team, which has called the investors’ claims completely baseless.
Selena Gomez's legal team sets up defense
Selena Gomez’s legal team has responded after investors accused the Wondermind co-founder of f**** in connection with the mental health startup. Speaking to People, Gomez’s litigator, Mathew S. Rosengart, rejected the allegations against the Only Murders in the Building star. The lawsuit also names Mandy Teefey and former business partner Daniella Pierson.
“The allegations that Selena Gomez engaged in any way whatsoever in any purported ‘f****’ or other wrongdoing are completely meritless, both factually and legally,” Rosengart told Gomez’s team would vigorously defend the allegations against her. He added that the legal team was filing a motion seeking to dismiss the claims as baseless.

According to People, the lawsuit was filed by Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind SPV LLC, which accused the founders of misrepresenting the startup’s leadership and partnerships. The investors allege that promised advertising deals, celebrity features, and an app never materialized. Gomez’s legal team, through Rosengart, has firmly rejected those allegations and plans to challenge them in court.
As Selena Gomez faces the Wondermind lawsuit, the legal drama is unfolding alongside an already packed professional schedule.

Her film slate is just as full, with Gomez voicing an astro-botanist in Illumination’s Not Alone and joining Brady Corbet’s untitled historical epic. She is also attached to play Linda Ronstadt in a forthcoming biographical film directed by David O. Russell. For Gomez, the Wondermind lawsuit is therefore arriving in the middle of a particularly busy career chapter.
