The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to Sebastian Stan, who portrayed Bucky Barnes in Captain America. Since then, he has appeared in several Marvel films and shows, including Black Panther, Thunderbolts, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. However, now, the 43-year-old actor may be looking to explore a new character and possibly a new cinematic home.

Recently shared eerie images of Stan’s new look have sparked speculation about the return of a villain, not in the MCU but the DC Universe: Harvey Dent.

Sebastian Stan is well known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, his latest visuals shared by his stylist have sparked excitement among fans. Pictures shared by Michael Fisher on his Instagram Stories showed Stan sporting a two-faced makeup look resembling Harvey Dent.

These images have led many to believe that they may be a major hint at the character Stan could be playing. If anything, the visuals have only fueled rumors of Sebastian Stan being in talks to join Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe. For those who are not aware, Harvey Dent is Gotham City’s District Attorney, famously known as the White Knight, who later transforms into the villain. 

Meanwhile, he is already set to return to the MCU in December’s Avengers: Doomsday later this year. The images Fisher shared on his Instagram stories have only fueled the anticipation of Stan joining Robert Pattinson in the upcoming film. That said, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, rumors about the casting of the flick seem not to rest.

Interestingly, another actor rumored to be making a shift from Marvel to DC is Scarlett Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson may be gearing up for a major move into Gotham. As per Deadline, the Oscar-nominated actor is in final negotiations to join The Batman Part II. While DC Studios has not confirmed anything yet, sources say Johansson is being considered for one of the sequel’s new roles, opposite Robert Pattinson, who will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne.

However, details about her character are being kept tightly under wraps, much like the film’s plot. The Batman Part II is expected to begin production in the spring and is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 1, 2027. 

If the rumors are true, both Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson could be making exciting moves from Marvel to DC. Although the details are yet to be confirmed, social media is already buzzing about the possibilities.
