With the massive success of Stranger Things, fame arrived early for its young cast, and Nell Fisher was no exception. Playing Holly Wheeler in season 5 of the series, she quietly became a fan favorite and now has an impressive following. While early fame comes with its challenges, Nell Fisher was fortunate to learn a few things from her Stranger Things co-stars.

When it comes to early fame, Hollywood, and a career, the young cast of Stranger Things has seen it all, and they made sure to pass that wisdom on. As Nell Fisher recalls, the cast had the same piece of advice for her.

Just at the age of 14, Nell Fisher appeared remarkably effortless in handling all the pressure and attention. It was in her latest interview when she opened up about how her Stranger Things co-stars had also guided and advised her. And notably, they all had the same thing to say to the actress.

“They all gave me roughly the same advice, which was just to be able to say no, and to have time for yourself and go, ‘I’m not taking a photo, I’m not signing an autograph, I’m just out with my family playing mini golf,” she told George Fenwick for The Post.

It is no exaggeration to say that Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, and much of the Stranger Things cast grew up under constant public scrutiny. They had to find a balance between their personal life and career, all while dealing with constant attention from fans and the media. While Nell Fisher did not mention any names in this recent interview, it was not hard to guess a few.

This was not the first time the young actress recounted a golden piece of advice from her co-stars. Nell Fisher revealed her sit-down with Millie Bobby Brown.

Millie Bobby Brown’s words inspired Nell Fisher

At a very young age, Millie Bobby Brown landed the role of Eleven in Stranger Things and quickly rose to fame. While she is known for playing Eleven, she has made it quite clear that she should be allowed to grow as a person apart from this one role. Nell Fisher, who became a breakout star thanks to playing Holly, shares the same belief.

“Especially when you grow up on a show, and in the public eye, it can be hard to A) become your own person, but B) further your career outside of, “I’m the Stranger Things girl,”” she said. “It’s mainly staying true to your work and what you do, and saying, “I am an actor.””

Safe to say that following in the footsteps of Millie Bobby Brown and the rest of the Stranger Things cast, Nell Fisher has been quite brilliant in balancing it all.
