With Stranger Things now behind her and Spider-Man: Brand New Day released, Sadie Sink is stepping into a major new phase of her career. Best known for playing Max Mayfield in Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, she is now expanding into high-profile film, television, and stage work.

Most notably, she is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jean Grey, a key role in the upcoming X-Men reboot and potentially Avengers: Secret Wars. Alongside Marvel, she has projects in development and a return to theater, marking her evolution into one of Hollywood’s most in-demand young stars.

One of the biggest titles potentially on Sadie Sink's horizon is Avengers: Secret Wars. Following confirmation that she will portray Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans expect the actress to play a role in Marvel's upcoming multiverse event film.

While Marvel has remained tight-lipped about the movie's full cast, Secret Wars is expected to bring together heroes from across the MCU, making it one of the franchise's most ambitious projects to date. For Sink, it could mark her biggest blockbuster appearance yet. 

The Marvel Cinematic Universe officially ushers in a new mutant era with the Untitled X-Men Movie (2028), directed by Jake Schreier. Serving as a ground-up reboot, the film places Sadie Sink front and center as a central powerhouse and leader of the legendary team. Starring alongside Kit Connor as Scott Summers (Cyclops), the duo will bring dynamic youth and gravitas to the iconic superhero faction. Together, they redefine Marvel’s iconic heroics for a new generation.  

Sadie Sink is also set to star in The Marriage Plot, a television miniseries currently in pre-production. Based on Jeffrey Eugenides' acclaimed novel, the project follows a group of young graduates navigating love, relationships, and identity in the years after college.

In addition to starring in the series, Sink is attached as an executive producer, signaling her growing interest in working behind the camera as well as in front of it.

Another project in development is John Proctor Is the Villain, an adaptation of Kimberly Belflower's acclaimed stage play. The story reexamines The Crucible through a modern lens, following a group of students who begin questioning the narratives they have been taught.

Like The Marriage Plot, Sink is set to both star in and executive produce the project, further cementing her move toward more creatively involved roles.
