Sadie Sink is collecting high-profile projects the way some people collect bookmarks, and her latest addition is a particularly shiny one. The actress will lead and executive produce The Marriage Plot, a limited series penned by Succession writer Will Arbery. While Sink became a fan favorite as the fearless Max Mayfield in Stranger Things, she has been steadily proving that her career extends far beyond Hawkins. Between her acclaimed Romeo and Juliet stage run and her upcoming role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, she has made a habit of choosing attention-grabbing projects.
And to cement that point even further, Sink appears to have taken another ambitious leap with The Marriage Plot, adding producing duties to her résumé.

According to an official FX press release, Sadie Sink has officially signed on to star in and executive produce The Marriage Plot, a limited series adaptation of Jeffrey Eugenides' acclaimed novel. The project brings together an impressive creative team, with Succession writer Will Arbery serving as writer and executive producer. Acclaimed filmmaker Hiro Murai is also attached as director and executive producer, giving the adaptation considerable prestige behind the camera.
“The Marriage Plot is a perfect fit for FX: ambitious, character-driven storytelling that offers another great opportunity to partner with exceptional artists,” said FX Entertainment President Gina Balian. His statement also highlighted the appeal of a literary adaptation built around emotionally complex characters and deeply personal journeys.
The story follows three newly minted graduates who discover that romance becomes significantly more complicated once adulthood arrives with the bill. Their passionate entanglement evolves into a consuming love triangle, forcing each to reassess cherished beliefs about love and selfhood. What begins as youthful yearning gradually becomes a reckoning with consequence.
Behind the scenes sits a producer list long enough to require careful breathing. Alongside Arbery and Murai are Steven Prinz, Rachel Jacobs, Michael Costigan, Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Eugenides, Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, and Sadie Sink herself. Yiyi Huang produces, while A24 and FX Productions handle the business of transforming literary heartbreak into prestige television.
However, The Marriage Plot is not the only project that has piqued the interest of Sink's executive producer side.
Executive producer Sadie Sink's other project
The Marriage Plot is not the only producing venture currently keeping Sadie Sink busy. The actress is also attached as an executive producer on Universal Pictures' adaptation of John Proctor Is the Villain, the acclaimed Kimberly Belflower play that earned widespread praise on Broadway. Sink originated the role of Shelby Holcomb on stage and later secured a Tony Award nomination for her performance, making her connection to the material particularly meaningful.

The story follows a group of Georgia high school students studying Arthur Miller's The Crucible when a scandal at their own school forces them to question authority, feminism, and long-held narratives about heroes and villains. With Kimberly Belflower adapting her own play and producers Tina Fey and Marc Platt backing the project, Sink's return as both star and executive producer further reinforces a career increasingly defined by ambitious, female-driven stories that challenge conventional perspectives.
