“Dog save the King”– King Charles made an adorable plea to the citizens, just a day ahead of coronation. PetSmart Charities has apparently collaborated with Maximum Efforts to ring up the curtain on an important cause: adopting shelter dogs. And it has fans captivated in aww. PS: The king is not the monarch himself, but Dana Carvey impersonates him once again. And oh! He looks so regal. Ryan Reynolds has nothing but praise for the actor.

As we speak to you, the King has rightfully been coronated. While that is certainly a center of attraction for British citizens right now, PetSmart Charities make good use of the occasion. Just a day before the ceremony, Carvey’s character takes the center of the stage and appeals to his audience not to frivolously buy breeds out of pop cultural references, but instead adopt a shelter dog.

The comic ad campaign alluded to the reported uptick in purchases of Dalmatians tied to a popular 1990s movie and TV series about the iconic black-and-white pups (they then ended up in shelter houses). The coronation may cause an upsurge in buying the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, which the king or king’s mimic does not want to happen.
He makes a decree on the same and gives the idea of pet adoption. Dana Carvey notably looks absolutely royal, which even Ryan Reynolds could not resist marking. He apparently retweeted the post, captioning “Dana Carvey is royalty,” with a crown emoticon.

The President of the institution notably explained in an interview that “There are a few moments bigger than the coronation of a new king.” He further said it is high time for people with immense love and a little extra space at their homes to adopt shelter dogs as the shelter homes are overcrowded with donations.

The Non-profit Shelter House could bring this ad campaign to life through its participation in Maximum Effort’s MNTN creative-as-a-subscription service, wherein they bundled their creative as well as media spend. They apparently directed and shot the video in Los Angeles and developed it with SixTwentySix Productions. “From the royal King Charles and Corgis to the more common ‘not quite sure what they are,’ we wish all the doggos the best,” the agency co-founder later commented.
