Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski are not just co-stars or Hollywood peers. They also share a deep friendship that extends among their families as well. Both the actors are about to bring forward their upcoming collaborative project, IF, set to hit theaters on May 17 this year. And The Office alum found it to be the best opportunity to also incorporate their families into it. Not only did he cast the Oppenheimer star, Emily Blunt in it, but also brought Blake Lively to the team. 

Ryan Reynolds recently expressed his appreciation for John Krasinski, acknowledging how he has enabled him to create wonderful experiences for his children.

John Krasinski rounded up some of Hollywood's top celebrities to lend their voices in his upcoming animated film, IF, including Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl star is going to voice Octopuss in the upcoming live-action/animated fantasy comedy. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ryan Reynolds expressed his relief that John Krasinski did not subject his wife, Lively, to a "grueling audition process" before casting her.

This has allowed their children to see both their mom and dad on screen again since their 2011 movie, Green Lantern. During the conversation, Reynolds not only teased the nickname he has been using for his fourth child while waiting for Taylor Swift to choose an official name but also talked about his family's relationship with John Krasinski's kids.

Sitting down with ET's Rachel Smith to discuss his upcoming film, Ryan Reynolds brushed off John Krasinski’s previous claim about his daughters inspiring the story of IF. The Deadpool & Wolverine actor joked, “I know Krasinski's kids and there's no way they came up with this”. Further confirming that his kids are friends with Krasinski, Reynolds mentioned, “My kids are obsessed with his kids”. 

The actor also mentioned that the set’s family-friendly atmosphere made it convenient to bring his kids along, something he and Lively did regularly. "Our kids they were all there all the time," said the 47-year-old. And now their children will get to see both their parents making movie magic on screen, even if they do not necessarily share scenes together.
