Ryan Reynolds drops a surprise announcement as Wrexham AFC drop a surprising new face behind their mascot for first-ever Super Bowl campaign

Ryan Reynolds Announces Picking Up ‘Thor’ Star as Latest Addition to Wrexham’s Force

Ryan Reynolds [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/ryan-reynolds/] indeed does keep a
few key cards close to his chest, especially when it comes to harnessing his
business acumen with Wrexham AFC. As the month-long transfer window for the
English football winter season came to a close, the actor dropped the news of a
surprise pickup. Staying true to his style of genuine hilarity, the Deadpool 3
star’s latest plans for his co-owned Welsh venture simply outwitted unsuspecting
fans even as the unexpected addition to the force happened to be a key member of
the MCU star-cast.

In the most ingenious of ways, the Canadian actor just dropped his plans for the
road ahead, including the Super Bowl.

WREXHAM ADDS “KEY PLAYER” FOR ITS FIRST-EVER SUPER BOWL CAMPAIGN

Wrexham AFC currently stands at the 2nd position in the ongoing season of the
EFL. However, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s business venture has made rapid
ingress beyond the field, stark proof of which came in the form of their latest
announcement. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 47-year-old actor shared Odin
actor, Sir Anthony Hopkins featuring in the Welsh side’s advertisement campaign
for STōK Cold Brew Coffee, set to air during the Super Bowl.

At 86 years of age, the Thor actor donned Wrexham’s mascot, Wrex the Dragon’s
attire. Running lines of poignantly witty dialogue while looking at the mirror
and exuding sheer confidence, the intense direction of the clip led to the actor
sipping through the cold brew. An offshoot venture of the Red Dragons’ brand,
Hopkins will go on air in that 55-second clip on 11th February during the Big
Match.

In the meantime, the Red Dragon did indeed make a few changes to their line-up
ahead of a potential automatic promotion.

RYAN REYNOLDS AND ROB MCELHENNEY TRADE IN TRANSFERS AS PREDICTED

Close on the heels of the winter transfer window’s start, many notable figures
in football opined that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s side should exchange
in transfers
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-ryan-reynolds-and-rob-mcelhenney-may-be-looking-to-splurge-even-more-money-on-wrexham-afc/].
The call came owing to many Championship clubs eyeing several Wrexham players on
the backs of their upbeat performance. Thus, looking to secure their future, the
Red Dragons signed on Luke Bolton and Jack Marriott up until 2026 and 2025,
respectively.

Other key deals for Wrexham included releasing McAlinden and making Luke
McNicholas’ loan deal permanent. Additionally, Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee also
saw new work-ups on their contracts just after New Year’s Day. A key happening
in any other EFL team, the transfer window changes came aimed straight at
maintaining the team’s performance and staying within the top three ranks to
secure an automatic promotion to the upper tier.
