Michael B. Jordan, who played the twins Smoke and Stack in the movie, also took home the Best Actor award. His win at the Actors Awards also makes him a strong contender for the Oscars. Now, Sinners has already made quite an immense impression at the Academy Awards, even before it takes place.

It is also only the seventh film to be nominated in every technical category. Even if it does not win all 16, Sinners is expected to take home multiple Oscars. Can it also break the record for the most wins at the Oscars, surpassing the three films Ben-Hur, Titanic, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, which currently hold the record? This is something that remains to be seen.
