Ruby Rose Files Report Against Katy Perry for Misconduct in a Nightclub: Investigation Underway

If honesty were a weapon, Ruby Rose would never travel unarmed. The Orange is the New Black star usually never holds back when it comes to throwing shade or being quite opinionated about something in Hollywood. The Batwoman fallout already proved Ruby Rose will name names; her claims about unsafe sets and post-surgery pressure echo to this day. And aside from speaking about gender-fluid identity and fame’s emotional toll, Rose has now sparked a new discussion.
Now Ruby Rose has turned the spotlight on Katy Perry, alleging misconduct during a nightclub encounter now under investigation.

Ruby Rose has publicly accused Katy Perry of s***** misconduct during a nightclub encounter, claiming the incident involved non-consensual s***** contact. Rose stated she has now filed a police report following renewed discussion online. The actor made the allegations while responding to a light-hearted post about Katy Perry at Coachella.
“Katy Perry s***** assaulted me at Spice Market Nightclub,” Rose posted this on Threads while reacting to a post about Perry joking during Justin Bieber’s performance about avoiding ads on YouTube Premium. Rose added that discussing woman-on-woman abuse remains more difficult for her than confronting male predators.
“She did not kiss me,” Rose claimed Perry exposed herself and forced intimate contact while Rose was resting on a friend’s lap, prompting Rose to wake up and vomit. She later wrote that she reframed the incident as a drunken story because she felt unsure how to process it and later kept quiet when Perry offered help with a visa.
Rose also said she previously hinted that Perry was not a good person and faced backlash instead of support. After a commenter questioned why she had not taken legal action earlier, Rose replied that she had just left the police station, confirming she had now filed an official report.
This is not the first time Rose has called out Perry, although earlier remarks were milder, and nothing like the explosive accusations now, or the jabs she once aimed at Sydney Sweeney.
Ruby Rose's past beef with Katy Perry
Back in May 2017, Ruby Rose took aim at Katy Perry after the release of 'Swish Swish', a track widely read as a counter to 'Bad Blood' by Taylor Swift. Rose mocked Perry’s pivot toward socially conscious branding during the era surrounding Witness, criticizing what she framed as selective activism and recycled pop trash.

Rose also framed her criticism as loyalty to Swift and opposition to perceived bullying within pop culture. Although Rose later expressed discomfort with the sharpness of her tone and acknowledged that her delivery went too far, her current allegations against Perry appear far less likely to be walked back.
