While Rowan Blanchard is quite candid on Letterboxd, sharing her opinions on different movies, her reviews are mostly limited to films she genuinely enjoys. It turns out she maintains that honesty by simply avoiding movies she does not like. The Testaments actress is very active on Letterboxd and often posts detailed and impressive reviews, including one for Heavenly Creatures.
But unfortunately, the actress, who has been in the film industry for quite a long time, has one condition due to which she chooses not to write about films when she has nothing good to say about them.

Rowan Blanchard, in her interview with Teen Vogue, was asked about her reviews on Letterboxd. She admitted that she only writes reviews for movies, not TV series, and focuses on films she genuinely loves and appreciates. When asked about movies she dislikes or hates, the actress revealed that she chooses not to write about them at all.
“No, because I'm an actress and I want to be employed,” she said.
While she may have joked about her rule, it offers quite an intriguing insight into her approach to reviewing films. Her other condition also explains why she may not have written a review of her own show, The Testaments, which has been gaining massive traction among audiences. The show has reportedly earned 45 million streaming hours globally.
A second season of the series has also been greenlit, and Rowan Blanchard is expected to reprise her role. Speaking about the new season, the actress shared that she has high hopes for her character, Shu. She revealed one particular wish she has for the character moving forward.
“I'm curious what will make her think that there is something bizarre going on, because I don't think she really does until towards the end,” she said.
“So I wonder what will make her crack a little bit.”
Apart from her show’s character, she also reflected on her own experience growing up in Hollywood.
Rowan Blanchard reveals a different L.A.
It is well known that Rowan Blanchard started her career as a child actor. She spent most of her life in Los Angeles, surrounded by Hollywood and its glamour. But looking back, the actress shared that the glamorous Los Angeles people often talked about doexist, though her own experience of growing up there was very different.
"I had a very different life," She told Teen Vogue.
"It's also a different Los Angeles. My LA is very different, I think, than people who conceptualize LA as a rich, extravagant [place], which it is. It is extravagant and it is ridiculous and it is Hollywood, but it's also a lot of other things."
