He also shared Robert Downey Jr.'s story about Doctor Doom's theme. And, as the actor hinted, the theme could be both heartbreaking and haunting.
“We’re on day 4 of production… Joe Russo's like, 'Come here.’ And he plays me Doom’s theme ... I was like, ‘Oh, yeah.. Okay, it’s that.’ And it even affected that day of shooting and every day since,” Downey Jr. said as per The Brandon Davis Show.
It might also be safe to say that the theme inspired the actor's approach to portraying Victor Von Doom, one of Marvel's most iconic villains, as the host said on The Brandon Davis show. Doctor Doom is a master of both science and sorcery, making him one of the franchise's most complex characters. More importantly, Downey Jr. is stepping into the role of the MCU's next major villain following Thanos, and that challenge comes with immense expectations.
The actor has previously acknowledged the pressure of taking on such an iconic character for Avengers: Doomsday.

During a conversation about the MCU, Robert Downey Jr. spoke about how crucial a compelling villain is to a superhero movie. Speaking of the success of Avengers: Infinity W**, he reminded how Josh Brolin's Thanos played a crucial role. The actor further explained why that lesson has shaped his approach to Avengers: Doomsday.
"I think Doomsday, more than any (film) so far... just because I've now realized our tendency to be telling the story of the world while hiding behind the fact that, 'No, we're just telling superhero movies that you can enjoy!' But you're only as good as your bad guy," Downey Jr. said.

While speaking to CBR, he further reflected on Thanos and the character's role in Avengers: Infinity W**. Much of the film focused on Thanos' quest to collect the Infinity Stones, while Earth's mightiest heroes united to stop him. With such a successful blueprint to draw from and Downey Jr.'s comments and hints about Avengers: Doomsday, the expectations are understandably high for the upcoming film.
