Pregnancy not only brings in a new life but also drastic bodily changes, leading to women experiencing a silent shift in their existence. When it comes to fashion, maternity style can be a tricky lane to excel in. Some celebrities set new standards for maternity fashion through their red carpet appearances or photoshoots, and the rest follow in their footsteps. Samara Weaving, for one, recently opened up about the challenges of dressing during pregnancy because she discovered that it requires more effort than people think.

The body undergoes a major transformation at this time, yet Samara Weaving maintains her original identity throughout fashion, blending comfort with confidence and style with practicality.

Samara Weaving explained the greatest difficulty of maternity fashion that comes from the body constantly changing, which makes it hard to select stylish clothes that are also comfortable. Speaking with PEOPLE, she explained that pregnancy fashion requires women to test different silhouettes, which both mathematically flaunt or conceal skin in equal measure.

"It's hard because you have a new body that's changing every week, and you have no control. So we're trying to find outfits that accentuate what we want to accentuate and kind of hide what we want to hide," Weaving told the outlet.

Despite the challenges, Weaving has been navigating seamlessly through maternity fashion during the promotion of her film Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. She heaped praises on her stylist Jordan Dorso, who made her recent red-carpet looks stand out, for instance, her green dress with a strategic cut-out for her baby bump that she wore at Ready or Not 2: Here I Come's Los Angeles screening on March 16, 2026.

Weaving adopted a new style of maternity clothing through her selection of cut-out dresses and fitted gowns, which softly cradle her baby bump and achieve the level of "coolness" she had always sought to have. However, Weaving never wanted to let her own identity slip, trying too hard to chase perfection, so she chose a perfect maternity fashion idol instead.
