Quentin Tarantino has yet again decided that shouting 'Action!' is no longer enough. The filmmaker is making his return to acting even more official by stepping back in front of the camera once again this year, this time for Jamie Adams' new film alongside Kylie Minogue. It is a fittingly unexpected return for the visionary behind razor-sharp dialogue, nonlinear storytelling, and unforgettable genre mashups in films such as Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Like the perfectionist he has always been, Tarantino is making certain his acting career receives the same meticulous attention as his legendary filmmaking.

Quentin Tarantino clearly enjoyed his return to acting because another role has already arrived. According to Variety, the filmmaker is officially joining Jamie Adams' next feature, which is titled Tangled Up in Blue but still does not have a plot. His casting follows Only What We Carry, the Tribeca-premiering film that marked a major live-action acting role in his three decades alongside Simon Pegg and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
"I did not think I would hear back," Jamie Adams recalled his first thought after sending Tarantino a story outline and a heartfelt letter, hoping to cast him as a wealthy benefactor. Instead, two weeks later, an email from the filmmaker's agent landed in his inbox. Now, fast forward: not only did Tarantino sign up as an actor in Only What We Carry, but he has decided to star in yet another film directed by Adams. Clearly, Tarantino is impressed by him.
The confirmation by Variety comes after Tarantino and Minogue were spotted filming. Over the weekend, the two stars were seen filming in Porthcawl, with Newton Church transformed into a funeral setting before the action shifted to the Saltwater Inn for a wake, according to a local outlet. The untitled project is clearly wasting no time.
While the film's title and plot remain tucked safely under wraps, the cast list has happily ignored the secrecy, and Quentin Tarantino and Kylie Minogue are far from the only exciting names attached.
The talented names attached to the upcoming Jamie Adams film
Quentin Tarantino, who is specific about his Netflix favorites, and Kylie Minogue may grab the headlines, but Jamie Adams has quietly assembled an impressive supporting ensemble. Julian Lewis Jones, Karen Paullada, Craig Russell, and Siwan Morris all bring decades of British television and film experience. Between blockbuster spectacles, prestige dramas, and beloved Welsh series, this cast is anything but background decoration.
Julian Lewis Jones arrives with blockbuster credentials after portraying Atlantis' ruler, Atlan, in Justice League and later appearing in House of the Dragon. Karen Paullada, meanwhile, reunites with her former Stella co-star after memorable performances in Steeltown Murders and 15 Days. Siwan Morris adds another familiar face thanks to her BAFTA-winning turn as Angie Levan in Skins and roles across Casualty and The Machine.

Craig Russell rounds out the quartet with credits spanning Hollyoaks, The Deceived, and a long history in independent British cinema. Altogether, Adams has blended established Welsh talent with internationally recognized names rather than relying on star power alone. That makes Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited acting return feel even more like part of a genuinely exciting ensemble.
