It turns out Prince William is also a Christopher Nolan fan, as the British Royal reveals himself. It is actually hard not to like Christopher Nolan - the magician of the big screen - who stuns the viewers with a never-before-seen spectacle with each new venture. But who would have thought that his patronage extended to the Royal Family?

However, magic knows no bounds and has reached the highest strata of British novelty, as Prince William admits he is a huge admirer of Christopher Nolan’s work.

Prince William heaps praise on Christopher Nolan

In a first for the long-running talk show, The Graham Norton Show, Prince William graced the iconic red sofa and revealed himself to be an avid admirer of acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan and the hit reality competition series The Traitors. Recorded on Thursday and slated to broadcast in the U.K. on Friday, the episode features the Prince of Wales alongside Hollywood star Cate Blanchett, actress Hannah Waddingham, and conservationist Robert Irwin.

I’m a big fan of everything Christopher Nolan does,” declared Prince William.

“His films are fantastic – The Dark Knight series is psychologically dark and deep and I absolutely love that. He takes concepts that are completely out there and makes them incredibly entertaining,” the Prince of Wales added.

The star-studded lineup gathers on the program to support the Earthshot Prize, the global environmental initiative spearheaded by the royal. Following a live musical performance by Jorja Smith, who subsequently joined the lineup on the couch, the British royal shared on The Graham Norton Show that he unwinds through music and cinema, telling Graham Norton of his affinity for thought-provoking storytelling (via Variety).

Describing his cinematic tastes, Prince William noted that while he enjoys action movies, he gravitates toward projects offering something unique. He also spotlighted the Earthshot Prize, his global environmental initiative, explaining that his motivation for launching the project stemmed from a weariness surrounding the constant negativity and doom associated with ecological reporting.

The British Royal also confessed his love for The Traitors on the show, calling it “really good telly.”

Prince William on The Traitors

This would be an even more surprising revelation than the Christopher Nolan bit, but Prince William is really fascinated by the hit reality competition series The Traitors. It is actually a family affair for the royal where his children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are also quite taken with the show.

“I love it, the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it,” said Prince William.

“I saw [‘Celebrity Traitors’ contestant] Ross Kemp the day after the first episode and I couldn’t help but try – in the most appropriate way – to touch him to see what reaction I got from him. Turns out he was really jumpy!” he added.

When asked by host Graham Norton whether he had ever fantasized about pursuing an alternative career path, the royal shared that he had ambitions of becoming a police officer during his youth, believing he would have suited the role well. He added that he later went through a brief phase of aspiring to be a professional DJ, though he readily admitted that his mixing skills left much to be desired.
