A spokesperson for Prince Harry told The Sun that recent reports about the tone of his meeting with King Charles III are "categorically false". They explained that quotes attributed to the Duke are entirely fabricated, seemingly pushed by sources aiming to undermine any reconciliation between father and son. The spokesperson confirmed that gifts were exchanged during the meeting, including a framed photograph of the Sussex children, but clarified that the image did not feature the Duke and Duchess. Their meeting was “distinctly formal,” and there is no prospect of reunion yet.

The Sun's newspaper also reported that the sources spreading such rumors are "intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son". During his four-day visit to the United Kingdom, the Duke of Sussex attended charity events in Nottingham and London. Nearly two years had passed since he last saw King Charles III. Buckingham Palace confirmed the pair shared a private tea lasting around fifty minutes. The Duke has further shared his thoughts on rebuilding his relationship with the king.

In an interview with The Guardian, Prince Harry discussed his views on the British press, suggesting that some outlets often misrepresent the public and speak on their behalf, despite being out of touch. He indicated a desire to spend more time in the UK and to eventually bring his children, noting that recent meetings have brought him closer to that goal. While he avoided speaking directly about his father, he emphasized, “the focus really has to be on my dad,” making it clear that rebuilding their relationship is his primary priority over the coming year.

He explained that he always returns to truthfulness, seeing it as simpler and less exhausting than deceit. That approach has shaped his interviews, television appearances, and his book Spare. Amid the buzz surrounding estrangement, remarks from his spokesperson suggest that the possibility of a reconciliation remains unclear.
