Prince Harry Ditched Again by Royal Family as King Charles Drops Him Off the Speech
Father-son relationships can be tough to navigate, and the Royal Family is no exception to that. The Duke of Sussex began a new life in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after intending to retire as a working royal in 2020. It is said that his relationship with his father, King Charles, has since deteriorated as they spent more time away.
In a characteristic show of disregard for his younger son, Prince Harry, King Charles will be avoiding any reference to him in his upcoming speech at the US Congress.

In a historic speech to US politicians, King Charles will not bring up certain entities and issues like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Epstein Files, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, or the Iranian crisis, as reported by The Sun. His Majesty has spent many days at Highgrove finalizing his speech to Congress.
Although there are many things he will refrain from talking about, Prince Harry’s entry in the list is the most notable as it goes on to show that their relationship is still nowhere near mending enough to be cordial. The speech to Congress is an important one as it aims to calm sour relations between the United States and the United Kingdom, which will center around it.
Following rifts in the Special Relationship over the US and Israel's war on Iran, the speech is thought to be among the most politically sensitive given by a monarch in recent memory. And to be excluded in such a grave moment of importance for the Royal Family does not reflect well on Prince Harry, and his status as a Royal Family member, especially amidst his recent troubles.
Nonetheless, this visit is more about fixing diplomatic relations between the UK and the US rather than hashing out personal grudges.
King Charles to speak for the UK Government
According to The Times, King Charles’ speech was written in cooperation with Downing Street, and the Palace and No 10 exchanged multiple drafts between them to finalize the speech. The Palace has the ultimate control over the final text, as what insiders refer to as the "holder of the pen," even though sources reveal the King will communicate the Government's stance.

This speech right now holds the entire burden of the delicate diplomatic relationship between Washington and London, and it is not really clear how Prince Harry’s exclusion from it will help in the long run. But it will definitely help keeping the focus on the main matter at hand - strengthening the UK-US ties.
