Once upon a time, there lived a young Prince in a quaint land of peace. Besides his little sister, the young royal also had three cousins whom he had never met but had heard stories about. In his quest to find out who he really is, the prince goes on to question his father. However, unbeknownst to him, the prince’s father had willingly chosen to seek exile from his own land and settle far away. Sounds fiction? Well, it is a scathing reality that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, may soon have to face.

As their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, grow up in America, oceans away from their royal residence in the UK, it stands to reason that the young royals may at one point question their royalty.

A four-year-old Prince Archie and a two-year-old Princess Lilibet may be having all the time in the world as of now. However, even though separated, the kids are still royals by blood. Additionally, the kids of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already hold royal titles. The siblings are now known as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor. In an interview with the Mirror UK, former Princess Diana’s butler and confidante, Paul Burrell pitches the reality that the young royals may find their family lineage “confusing”.

Additionally, Burrell adds that “they might not know quite who they are.” Rightfully so, when the time comes and the royal kids grow up to be mature enough, such questions are pretty much guaranteed. The kids may wonder why they are not with their cousins or their grandfather, King Charles III, instead of being all the way across the Atlantic.

Further, the little monarchs may also question and even challenge their parents’ decision to abdicate royalty. Therefore, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle must be ready to answer their kids’ queries to “Why don’t we know this world which is half ours?”
