Just last week, everyone's feeds were full of the Off Campus cast shooting for Season 2, giving fans plenty to talk about, with behind-the-scenes clips and updates from the set spreading across social media as filming gets underway. The new season comes after the Prime Video series became a breakout hit, with Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli returning as Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham.

But amid all the excitement surrounding the cast’s return, fans also began closely examining Bright and Cameli’s off-screen dynamic, leading to speculation that something had gone wrong between the two co-stars.

Bright has now addressed the chatter, and she finds the whole thing rather amusing.

Speaking about the speculation with Entertainment Tonight MTV VMAs 2026, Ella Bright revealed that she and Belmont Cameli have actually been laughing about the rumors together while filming Season 2.

“It is pretty wild. It’s so funny,” Bright said. She explained that the two will even sit together in the green room, scrolling through their phones and discovering the latest claims about their supposed tension.

“I’m like sitting next to him, right next to him, scrolling on our phones. ‘Oh, you saw that? Do you remember when I said that?’ It’s like, never happened,” she recalled.

Rather than letting the rumors bother them, Bright said to ET that she and Cameli have simply decided to joke about the situation, saying they just called it "publicity." The speculation gained traction after fans noticed that Cameli had archived several Instagram posts featuring Bright, prompting questions about whether the co-stars had fallen out. The pair later appeared together in a video from the Season 2 set, confirming that they were still on good terms.

But while the off-screen drama appears to be nothing more than fan speculation, Bright says there is plenty of genuine relationship drama waiting for Hannah and Garrett in Season 2.

While talking to Entertainment Tonight at the VMAs, Ella Bright also opened up about what fans can expect from Hannah and Garrett when Off Campus returns. After deciding to get together at the end of Season 1, the couple will now have to navigate what their relationship looks like as they move forward.

“So it’s just a lot of kind of figuring out their relationship as, you know, an adult kind of companionship. And they’re just, like, trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives,” she said.

For Hannah and Garrett, the new season will be less about simply getting together and more about figuring out how to make their relationship work while navigating adulthood and their individual ambitions. Season 2 of Off Campus will primarily shift its focus toward Dean DiLaurentis and Allie Hayes, but Hannah and Garrett will continue to appear as their story develops.
