Over the past few years, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become outspoken advocates for internet safety. They have been actively making it their mission to cut through the noise of unsolicited hate and abuse on social media platforms. The last time they posted on social media was to signal the start of a “new chapter” in their lives post-COVID-19 and to mark their departure as full-time working members of the royal family in March 2020.

Ever since their non-profit organization hit the ground running, the duo has consistently taken steps to promote social media awareness, and their most recent move marked another significant milestone.

Many parents gathered for bipartisan discussions on child safety at a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday. These were the parents whose children had fallen victim to or lost their lives due to online harm. Extending a helping hand to these families was The Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which has been actively constructing a support system for parents grappling with the emotional toll and mental health challenges of their children, triggered by harmful online content.
