After starring in The Adam Project and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the 17-year-old actor, Walker Scobell, quickly rose to fame. As he continues to build an impressive resume, he has also amassed a massive fan following that adores and appreciates his work. However, he recently took to his Instagram Story to share a lengthy message, revealing that he will not be attending prom and addressing the recent scary incident.

“Please stop sending death threats to EVERY teenage girl who could remotely be associated with me based on their proximity to where I live. It’s not fair to them or to their families. Maybe also just stop sending death threats in general. That’s just not cool. Kinda weird I have to say this,” he wrote.

Unfortunately, several celebrities have faced similar situations in which they or their families received threatening messages, which deeply affected them. From backlash over on-screen characters or public controversies and relationships, celebrities are often targeted with death threats. From constant public scrutiny, criticism, and typecasting, a celebrity’s life is not as easy and glamorous as it appears from afar.
